Beginnings

Trend Tailoring was established in 1975 by two brothers Alex Ng & Edward Ng. Back in the days, they were well-known for being the most famous & reliable tailoring stop to ever exist in the KL area. They worked together throughout the years to provide the best service for the locals as well as customers from overseas. They were one of the first if not the first true bespoke tailoring shop using only the traditional & highly labour intensive method of full canvasing. Later on, They were most famous for being the first to design & patent the Dato' uniforms that you see to this very day.

After many years, the two brothers decided to specialize in different areas. Alex began to put his full attention on the uniforms & a full-time professional photographer, admirable by many. Edward wanted to expand his tailoring ventures by moving in the Melium Group; Malaysia's leading retail group in international luxury fashion brands.

Trend Tailoring is now back to its original roots. Currently run & managed by Edward, we are here to provide 4 main major areas of tailoring services at the same location where it all began. We have endless choices of fabric, cuts, design & style. Our specialty is that, you can find real rare fabrics that are not in production anymore from Zegna, Dormeuil etc. There is no place like Trend Tailoring, all the history, experience and passion.
